Political Science
To provide a comprehensive understanding of politics, students will study four areas of specialization:

Comparative politics

International politics

Theory and practice
A major in Political Science consists of 39 semester hours for a Bachelor of Arts degree or 42 semester hours for a Bachelor of Science degree. We also offer a minor and an area of concentration in pre-law.
To declare a major in political science, students must have earned a GPA of at least 2.50 in prior college coursework.
First-semester students who wish to declare a major in the program must have an ACT composite score of 21 or SAT score of 990. Transfer students must have earned a GPA of at least 2.50 in prior college coursework.
Approval from the chair may substitute in all cases.
